Feature Description #

Allows you to change the resolution, depth type and synchronization offset for all of your cameras at the same time.

How to use #

  1. Choose your desired settings
    1. Resolution affects the resolution of the color camera increasing the number of points that are generated for your pointcloud. For calibration, recommended resolution is either FHD or QHD. For actual recording QHD or 4K UHD is usually recommended, depending on how high you need the quality to be (keep in mind that higher quality means bigger file size).
Note: If you’re using the 4K resolution, then you are limited to 15fps or 5fps. This is a limitation imposed by the azure kinect cameras.

    2. Depth affects the depth camera’s recording type. It is recommended to always use the Narrow Unbinned option, as it provides the best depth accuracy.
    3. Synchronization Offset controls the offset for capturing frames between cameras in milliseconds. This feature only works if your cameras are connected with synchronization cables.
The offset is important to make sure that the camera’s infrared rays do not interfere with each other and cause inaccuracies.
  2. Click the green checkmark to apply these settings to your cameras.
  3. Alternatively click the blue circular arrow to reset your settings to those that your cameras are currently using.
