Spar hook by Andrew Moss (1843-1910)

Andrew Moss (1843-1910), my great great grandfather, was an edge tool maker based in Conford (nr Liphook), Hampshire, UK. The Moss family were well known edge tool makers, who specialised in agricultural tools, such as spar hooks, billhooks, axe-heads and draw knives. This spar hook has a 6" blade and was used in thatching.
