Nineveh North Palace, Room R Panel 28

Gypsum wall panel relief: return from the hunt. Men carry dead lions. Was on corridor leading to eastern gate out of the palace. The king probably passed this way on his way back from the hunt. This neo-Assyrian relief dates to 645 - 635 BC and was acquired by the British Museum in 1856. Length: 144.78 centimetres Width: 114.3 centimetres
