Depth Camera Testing

If you are having issues with the view from your depth camera, you can download depth camera viewer software, created by its manufacturer or third party developers, and check if the camera works with it:

Make sure to test the camera with the same settings as it is set on EF EVEVolCapp

Firstly you will not see the camera views – you will need to turn it on by clicking the Start button:

As mentioned before, you must test your camera with the same settings as you are using on EF EVE™ VolCapp. To edit these settings you will need to click the Stop button. Otherwise, the Azure Kinect Viewer will not allow you to do it:

To see the selected settings on EF EVE™ VolCapp, open the Dashboard. You will find it on the menu at the right.

NFOV abbreviation stands for Narrow Field of View
WFOV abbreviation stands for Wide Field of View

Furthermore, Quality setting on VolCapp is the same as Resolution setting on Azure Kinect Viewer:

However, Framerate setting on VolCapp has the same name on Azure Kinect Viewer:

Kinect Azure Sync setting on VolCapp by default is 200. It’s equal to the Internal Sync setting. Therefore, on Azure Kinect Viewer it also has to be set to 200.

If the depth camera doesn’t work on Azure Kinect Viewer, you should check if all the cables are connected correctly and the firmware is updated. To do so, follow the steps listed here.

However, if the depth camera works on your Azure Kinect Viewer, but still doesn’t work on EF EVE™ VolCapp, please inform our support:

Intel Realsense Viewer

For testing your Intel Realsense depth camera with Intel Realsense Viewer, you will need to select the same settings as you did on EF EVE™ VolCapp.

To adjust the depth camera settings on Intel Realsense Viewer, you need to turn off the camera view by clicking the Off button on the Stereo Module section. After that, expand that section (this is where the camera settings are hidden) and you will see the depth camera settings listed:

On EF EVE™ VolCapp Dashboard menu at the right, you will find the depth camera settings that are currently selected.

To clarify, Quality setting on VolCapp equals Resolution setting on Intel Realsense Viewer:

You can find the Frame Rate setting on the Dashboard of VolCapp. Certainly, on Intel Realsense Viewer it needs to be set to the same Frame Rate:

If the depth camera doesn’t work on Intel Realsense Viewer, you should check if all the cables are connected correctly and firmware is updated. To do so, follow the steps listed here.

However, if the depth camera works on your Intel Realsense Viewer, but still doesn’t work on EF EVE™ VolCapp, please inform our support:
