Usually, you can have issues with Auto-Calibration if your markers are not good or you have poor light in your Volumetric Capture Stage.

Markers

  • Make sure your markers are printed on the matte paper. If the paper is glossy, depth cameras may have issues collecting them.
  • Make sure your markers are properly positioned. All cameras have to fully capture the markers. Depth view in the 2D window is really helpful to see if all cameras have a good view of the marker.

Lighting conditions

  • Make sure you have good lighting for the Volumetric Capture Stage. We recommend using the lights from the equipment list here.

If the markers are printed on matte paper, positioned properly and the lighting conditions are good, you should be able to successfully calibrate your depth cameras with EF EVEā„¢ VolCapp.
